I wonder if thats the same 3.6L that goes into the Buick Renezous Ultra/CTS. If so, its got VVT, a good thing! I checked it out at the NAIAS and I must say its VERY impressive inperson. I was online w/ Saturn yesterday and requested a brouchure, not for me, but for my Dad who's lease is up in the fall on his Malibu. I thought the Aura was getting the 3.5L/3.9L like the G6/GTP and Mailbu/SS, but it seems Saturn is trying to set itself apart from the rest, yet another good move on their part using the "high end" motor from Caddy and Buick Seriously, I'd take the Aura over the Fusion anyday!

Saturn is essentially slipping into Oldsmobile's shoes (the Intrigue has a 3.5 litre DOHC V6 instead of the 3800).
However, this car is just a skinning of the Pontiac G6, right down to the crease where the G6 door finishes off. With a Honda-clone grille. I see no reason to think the car will be any more impressive, and uglier to boot.
No reason to buy this over a Mazda6.

It looks good, should perform well, and the interior is better in person than in the pics. If I get a new car in the next few years, it will be on my shortlist if the execution is good.
There is no reason not to buy it over a Mazda 6.

Aura looks Audiish with a good looking front end. The wheel arches will get left on the concept.

Actually the Intrigue offered the 3.8L and the option of the Twin Cam 3.5L.

It may have similar structural parts but this engine is not going to be offered in the others as far as I know, and the interior is looking to be leaps ahead of teh G6 and Malibu.
If it comes off as good as the G6 did from concept, I would definitely think it'd have an equal or better chance of topping a 6 and any of the derived FMC using its platform.
I think Saturn is going to be a shining star in GM's line-up and be far more successful than it was before and Oldsmobile all together.

I was wondering the same thing as far as if its the one going to be put in the new crossover from Buick.
This is the second time that Saturn is pulling a Caddy engine. The first was the twin cam 3L in the L-series pulled from the Catera. I'm hoping this one will perform a lot better than the last situation.

looks really good. looks like GM is finally taking some pointers from Opel/Vauxhall on interior trim and styling.
