Whats everyones thoughts on them?

I had a '91 5-speed. red with black interior.

I loved driving it so much and it was so comfortable and just the feeling of driving it was good. It had way too many prolems though.

Anyone else?

I wouldn't mind picking up one of the later years (like a 94 or 95).

There is one here, but I'm thinking it's fake. Car is white with gray primer SC bumpers.

I had a 91 t-bird it wasnt the super coupe, it had the 5.0 HO. It was fun, fast, a comfortable and it didnt have to many problems it was great. I started to take it apart and build the motor, never put it back together . Then I bought the svt and sent the car to the junkyard and cant get rid of the motor. I kick myself for doing it, oh well.

I think the rarest of them all was the 89-90 Cougar XR-7 SC with a manual. I think they made like 3,000 at that. Those were pretty sweet.

The 89-91 T-bird and Cougar did have a lot of problems though. I should know, I sold the parts for them

In 96 I bought a 89 5spd SC, and a year later totaled it . Then after returning from Africa, I picked up a 90 XR7 Auto.

Bill, in 90 they only made ~800 5spd XR7s; they are indeed the rarest.....

I love the 'Birds, but they are adifferent animal from the CDW-27

wasn't it called the XR-7 Turbo?

My brother had one. It was hawt. I always wanted to buy it off him, but he sold it before I was in the market for a vehicle.
He then bought an anniversary edition SC t-bird.
also hawt.
I think he ended up selling that one to the head of some SC web forum.

No, the previous XR-7 on the Fox chassis, was the same as the TurboCoupe (Turbo 2.3L). Only the 89/90 XR7 got the 3.8L SC engine. The latter years got the 5.0/4.6 when available.
