You might have point. Me=not smare this AM. From what Mike told me about his car I doubt he has the swap.

Holy crap.
I am going to the junkyard and getting a couple of these for ebay!!
I saw interesting cupholders in a countour there yesterday. Only had one flip-up instead of two, and it was normal sized. The rest of the panel was just blank.

Holy old knowledge. LOL! MTX pre98's have one flip up. The ATX's have 2. A 2 will fit in an MTX and you can still get it in reverse though. It's tight so that's probably why they only did the 1.

my first mod was the pre 98 console......
I was at the junkyard looking for a part for the ex girlfriends car when I decided that the pre 98 console was a good mod.

Ahh that makes so much since now!
I think there are about 10 pre98's in the junkyard near me. $50 each cupholder = $500

I bet that the majority of those junked contours will have the cup holders broken or missing. The yard I got mine from had 5 or 6 junked cars and I only found 1 that had a not broken cupholder
