Well I am at the point now where I absolutely must get a new car since the one I drive now isn't reliable anymore. And since I do alot of driving for work, I need something I can depend on. So I have it narrowed down to 3 choices...

Choice # 1

Mazda 6 - Sport package - $420.00/48 month lease

I have liked this car since it first came out. The sport package adds 17 inch alloy wheels, a power drivers seat, leather wrapped wheel, shifter and handbrake handle. Has a 5 speed manual mated with the 2.3 4 cylinder. Gets 6.8/100 km, which is good considering I'm going to be driving alot. They are really sharp looking cars. Not really any cons when it comes to this car. I could get the GT version, which adds moonroof, Bose stereo and leather seats for $60 more a month. I want something that I won't get sick of driving.

Choice # 2

Pontiac G6 - Drivers package - $407.00/48 month lease

This is also another car that I have been looking at. The drivers package adds things like remote start, aluminum wheels, rear spoiler, leather wrapped steering wheel and shifter, steering wheel mounted audio controls, which are also on the Mazda 6. This car also drives nice, and the steering wheel is amazingly easy to turn. The bucket seats really hold you in place as well. Automatic transmission.

Choice # 3

Hyundai Sonata - Base model - $378.00/60 month lease

This was my first look at the new gen of Sonata. Also comes with a 5 speed manual, the shifting is really smooth, like butter even. Has power windows/locks, etc like the other cars. Comfortable seats. Smooth ride. Projector beam headlights, like the Mazda. About the same power as the rest. 162 hp vs 160 in the Mazda vs 164 in the G6.

Looking for all opinions, good and bad, about all 3 choices. Thanks everyone.

The OP is talking canadian $$$$

As far as those 3, I think the Mazda 6 would be my first choice as it is more fun to drive than the others. However, the new sonata is supposed to be VERY competative in the mid-size class. I wouldn't bother looking at the G6 personally.

i'd choose the Mazda, but the Hyundai is a compelling option. i really like the new styling and for the price, you get a LOT of car.

I was just looking at the specs on the Ford Fusion, and this looks to be a choice worth looking at as well. The SEL is a direct competitor to the Mazda 6 GT, but not so expensive. Same engine and features.

But then I just might be partial to Mazda...........I really do like my '04 6i Hatchback. 2.3L, 5 speed, leather, Bose, moonroof. Everything but a V6. I was seriously thinking of buying a second one but bought a new pickup instead.

Was it worth it to go with the higher options above the Sport Package? Like the leather, moonroof, heated seats and Bose stereo?
