Hello, I am new. The cap locks on "fast" in the title was a pun...

Anyways, I have a Contour SVT and I am hoping you guys can fill me in on the possibility of adding a nitrous system to my car. I heard the stock engine can handle a 200 shot?

By the way, my mods are flowmasters and turbotimer.

There is a forum dedicated not to far below for folks like you who think they can add nos to a Contour.

why stop at a 200 shot? heck, go for a million...just make sure you have someone with you when you spray that 200 so they can give you a ride home after you blow your motor to pieces...

Seriously, the diarhea of the mouth should stop here. You have ZERO(and no, that isn't a pun) clue WTF you're talking about.

To answer your question, you will find a lot of information down in the Forced Induction forum. You should be safe with a 100 shot on your 2.5L Contour SVT, but there's a lot that goes into it. Mileage and maintenance being two of the key items. Read up before you purchase. And thank you for calling it nitrous, and not "nos" like this dingleberry above called it.

NOS is an abbreviation for Nitrous Oxide Systems. Nitrous Oxide Systems is the name of a company, that makes nitrous systems. It'd be like everyone calling nitrous, Venom. I don't go to the local speed shop and ask that they fill my bottle with Venom, nor do I ask them to fill it with NOS. It's nitrous, N2O.

I'm hungry.

I'd like a JR. BaconCheese Burger please. Only ketchup and mustard.

There's a comment you can intelligently speak too.

Why do you have a turbo timer?

Anyway, there are several nitrous oxide kits available for our cars. It seems that the most popular around here are the Venom systems as well as the ZEX systems.

Personally, I wouldn't want to shoot more than a 50 shot into my SVT, because I love her too much. However, several are spraying 100 shots and with the proper tuning, this is alright.

Whatever you decide, research, research, then research some more. Remember you will need colder spark plugs. Also, as stated before you are in the wrong forum, go to the Forced Induction forum below.
