so sunday night my car decides to crap out on me, i leave it on campus and stay at a friends room. when i come out in the morning, behold, a boot is on my frint rim. so i pay to get it off, which was only $235 and i parked on campus for two years without a parking pass. a year is $400 so i think i made out. then last night, i was driving on 95S and BOOM SSSSHHHHHHHHHHHH all these sparks from the back of my car. the muffler fell off and was dragging down the road. so i pull over and soon a State Trooper pulls up to help me out. i'm thinking cool. no. he gives me a ticket for a dead inspection (March, but since i don't drive that car i didn't think about it) and for having faulty equipment or some sh*t like that b/c one tail light was brighter than the other, even though it wasn't the brake light, it just happens to be brighter. grrrrrrrrrr

Do they give a few days to get it inspected? I'm not sure what the fine is in VA, but here they slapped me with a $320 fine for a dead inspection.

not sure, but i'm going to explain to the judge what happened and why i was driving that car on said day. hopefully i will get off or a reduced fine

No moving violations. Dead inspection is like $50. The judge usually lets you off if you go to court. VA thanks you for helping fatten their pockets.

Yeah I've gotton multiple dead inspection tickets, its not much. I'm not sure but I think it might be less than $50, maybe like $35.
