A friend of mine has been looking around for a new car, but has a spending limit of around $13,000 or so. He would like something with a great warranty 10 yr. 100K or close to it. And of course, it must be classy... lol. Just thought i'd ask you guys while i searched online. Thanks

focus is all i can think of in that price range, brand new. that i would even consider. maybe if he can find a corolla for that cheap.

The Kia Spectra has gotten some fairly decent reviews so that is one to consider. A friend of mine has a Suzuki Aerio and its not a bad little car, also meets the criteria.

Personally, I'd try and get a deal on a 2004 SVT Focus, but that is just me.

for $13k? that's some serious negotiating. if you can pull this off, put me down for one too.

A brand new SVT Focus would be sweet for the right price. How cheap have people gotten them for?

What about my 01 Jetta VR6??? It's got all of what you said. 40K on the OD but I have an extended 0 deduc warranty till almsot 100K and 4 1/2 years from now. All the refinements of classy, with a nice sporty side, too. I Think my asking price is a wee bit more than what your wanting though. ($15,500 best)

wait, he wants to buy a car outright for 13k? Cause a 13k down payment on a new car would give you decent monthly payments.

woah, I was just lookin through FSVTs, found this one.

Lookin at it, it says "2bbl EFI"... does a FSVT have 2 throttle bodies?

First thing I thought of was a hybrid carburator/fuel injection setup

it also says 1.6L I4... Which also makes no sense.

With 13K out the door including a 7-10yr warranty:

PT Cruiser
Hyundai Elantra
Neon SXT
Suzuki Aerio
Mitusbishi Lancer
Suzuki Forenza

All of the aboce are very livable cars and all can be had with your friends requirements.
