I'll give ya $300 for it.

That's the trade-in value at a stealership. Those are always real low. Private sale would be much higher. My SVT shows $3,585 trade in, but nearly $6,000 retail and $7,500 value.

hehehe!
Hey brapple, don't you also have a cd player in your Mystique?
I bet that's an extra $5

aww, poor cars. It's funny but it's not.

yes I have a aftermarket cd player, door speakers and 2 12" subs in the trunk but I didn't count those as it wasn't stock. but then again I also have traction control, that has got to be worth somehting right

just check, saying I have a CD player adds $0 to the trade in value

private party value is $860

and retail is $1810

Tradein value for my car in good condition is $1930 ... fair is $1475. To be honest I'd rate my car in between the two. I'd rather see the car go to a CEGer, too.

saying you have anything aftermarket usually adds $0 to the value too. also sad, but true.

Sully is depreciating at a decent clip...but still worth more than what i paid!

Private Party, Fair Condition...$4,910 (SWEET!)
Trade-in, Fair Condition...$2,840

Amazing to think this was a $40k car only 7 or 8 years ago.

I was kidding about the aftermarket extras adding to the value, hence the
I also knew that the numbers were trade in value.

I'm glad I got rid of my SVT when I did! It really is sad to see how badly the Contour/Mystique line depreciates.
Posted By: GR8SVT_dup1 Re: Aww how sad - 11/17/05 01:47 PM
agreed. when I inquired about possibly trading in my SVT when I bought my Mazda3, they were going to give me 1500 - which I lauged and said - 'yep, ok, no way....'.

a few months later, the car was sold for over 9k (selling some parts seperately as well).

poor cars - such good cars and get so much depreciation.
