I made a huge writeup on how to launch on the Mazda 6 sight, and I just kept messing up! I could not get anything better then a 2.352, ahh!! Oh well for an excuse, there was a ton of rain here, and the track wasn't in tip top shape for launching, it was pretty slick. Well, here's my best time (remember, completely bone stock):
R/T .475 (jumped it )
60' 2.394 (horrid)
330 6.429
1/8 9.734 @ 74.31
1000 12.584
1/4 14.988 @ 93.83
My main goal was to beat my Contour's time bone stock, and run into the 14's, So I did. I was pretty pleased to get into the 14's, but if I would've gotten a better lauch, then I would be talking about getting 14.7's
My other runs were 15.0's, 15.1, 15.3's and I left TCS on and ran a 15.6! Oh well, it was a fun day at the track.
Temp was 70 to 75.

not bad. I didn't think they were that 'strong'. Whats the curb weight on those?

Curb Weight of a 6s is ~3407 lbs IIRC. Don't underestimate 'em. With a CAI and Exhaust, a 6s is putting down right about 200 at the wheels; throw on some Draxas headers and you're doing 220whp.
Good Runs mmarfan. We've only got 1/8 tracks around here, so I've been aiming for a 9.5 1/8 with my 6s, which should put me in a solid mid-14.
It's a high goal, especially since I suck on track-surface, but you gotta set it high.

The V6 versions weigh in at a "rated" 3300lbs.
Since we know the engine in stock form is over-rated (via previous low dyno numbers) I would bet the weight is as well.
Then once you see his good numbers (14's & 93+ are great for a stock 6! ) it is a given they have to be lighter then their "rating".

Yea not completely sure on the weight. I don't have a sunroof, but do have the power seat, and sport package, and I weigh 135 pounds...

I assume you were bouncing on the limiter on that run, mmarfan?
I never run 1/4s, so I'm not sure if the addition of a CAI requires a 3-4 shift @ 92mph, but I would imagine that it would to get the best time.

The rev limiter bumps in at 95 1/2 mph, so I just left it in 3ird, which helps ALOT compaired to the 'tour where I HAD to shift into 4th.

That's dead-on for an Auto. A Stock Auto 6s will pull a 15.7 at best in Manual mode with TCS off.

Well no wonder why! You've got about 70 lbs less in your seat than I do! I'm a fatty. Hell, I ran with barely a few gallons in the tank and I'm still almost a second behind you.
*Technically* they weigh in at 3248 for the manual v6.
