I had a pretty good car weekend. Friday before the Rolex 24 I had the chance to drive my SVT on the daytona speedway. Every year if you get on the list you can drive your car twice around the track. The track officials wouldn't let us drive on the high banks but the shakanes (how do you spell that?) were the best part anyway. I have to say the contour is made for the track, my baby was handling like a dream out there. Actually there was 2 of us CEG'rs driving. Me in my 98 and my brother in his 2000. We were driving with porches and vipers but we were really only racing each other. We even stopped on the back stretch and drag raced.
Saturday...
I finally hit the dyno. It took awhile but I managed to get my father to hook me up with one of his buddies who just happens to have a lab grade dyno in jax. While the guy is selling his shop he'll still be there for a couple more weeks. I talked to him about hooking up some other guy I know so if anyone is interested in putting there car or any car on a dyno Saturday let me know. He told me $100 bucks gets you 3 runs. If we have at least 5 cars he'll basically give us the whole day at the shop. Email me ASAP if you're interested in dyno.
So anyway that was my weekend.
