I meant to post this here not in PICS and VIDEOS! Sorry!

I went to MIR with a 45 degree temp . I made 3 runs, and would you know it my last run was against an SRT-4 and that was my worst run. I messed up 2nd and 3rd shift. I really tried to get 15 flat. Top PRO Street run was 7.176 @ 176 MPH (Chevy S10 pickup) .

best run (2nd):
R/T .536
60 2.283
330 6.407
1/8 9.822
MPH 72.00
1000 12.729
1/4 15.214
MPH 89.33

For grins 3rd run against srt-4:
SRT-4 SVT
DIAL 14.32 15.26
R/T .643 .623
60 2.532 2.419
330 6.528 6.608
1/8 9.675 10.108
MPH 79.70 70.25
1000 12.311 13.042
1/4 14.567<<WIN 15.537
MPH 99.54 89.05
The SRT-4 did a 14.00 for his best time.

That's true Ryan!! This is about my 4th or 5th time at the track and each time I learn a little something new. I just need more power now! There was an SHO their last night as well runnin' 14-14.7.

I am not going to pretend I know what powershifting means! I hear that a lot, what is powershifting? I will bet that is what I'm probably doing.

If you aren't lifting off the gas when you shift gears, you're powershifting.

my friend has a 5-speed accord. He lets me drive it around every now and then when he wants to use my car for some strange reason. I found power shifting (double clutching I've also heard it called) can really help in terms of getting up to speed.

When shifting, don't take your foot completely off the gas, in fact hold it there. Drop the clutch and shift QUICKLY then let off the cluth. Since you're already on the gas you don't have to stomp the gas afterwards. And since you're revving up to redline with no load on and then you drop the clutch which places the load on, it gets a jump. It's really cool and I suggest you try it sometime. PRACTICE first. Don't wanna blow that engine do ya?

Double clutching is actually disengaging the clutch during the shift and re-engaging it to enter the next gear. Not the same thing.

Obsidian, who's Ryan? Are you talking to me?
