Well, I was going to clean my KKM and put on my BAT pipe, but when I removed the KKM I noticed that my (please correct me if I'm wrong) upper trans mount is busted.    I didn't feel anything wrong while I was driving  Question, is this a PITA to replace, how much, etc?? Anyone please chime in, thanks.

i dont know how to tell that a mount is broken...what is wrong with that pic????

moe mine looks exactly like that i just posted pics about a week ago....looks JUST like yours...i havent fixed mine yet  im interested to know if this is a PITA or no

So now that I know what it is, I did a search.
Still, has anyone got a price on one (and installation)?? Of course Bill J. is enroute west when I need a part, go figure. And, has anyone installed an upgrated bolt into one like I've heard around the grapevine?

Mike, you should check the NY forum for Nick10. He had a machine shop build him a stronger bolt and he installed it himself. It doesn't looks so bad, but not really easy. I can check the service manual if you want and send directions. Let me know and good luck.

i've broken that mount like 3 times.
warranties are great.

I discovered that mount broken a year or so ago. Had it replaced, paid for by insurance, as I discovered it right after a minor fender bender, so it probably snapped then. Since the month or two of driving with it broke caused the 2 roll restrictor mounts to wear prematurely, those got done too.
Total bill to the insurance was about $500 for all 3 parts and labor
The tech said that the broken mount (not the 2 worn ones) was a major PITA to install.

Moe, Mine was finally covered under warranty so I don't know how much it cost to replace. I understand though that it's not hard at all. Sorry I can't help more. AAM is supposed to be working on my car now but i've heard that before.
