Banner stolen from focaljet So, with the upcoming turbo, not to mention removing/moving weight in my car is a nice/STS legal mod that can improve handling. So the dyna batt came up as an option, and of course I went looking on line. I've stopped here. http://www.stealth316.com/2-dynabatt.htm I think the "dyna batt" (Now in quotes) is a great idea for battery relocation. However, I suspect I'll be getting the Hawker Genesis G16EP or Odyssey PC 680 Why because that appears to be what a dyna batt really is. It appears the performance data as well as the dimensions are identical. So what do they look like? Yet they cost about half as much. Any comments from the peanut gallery?

HAHA!!! Wow!! DynaBatt unmasked! I wish I had that info when I dropped $60 on a new battery last year. Good find Tony!
Looks like you can get a %10 discount when 5 are purchased.

They have the same cold cranking amp rating as the factory unit right? Looks like something I should get while doing the 3L, especially after seeing how small it is compared against normal car battery!

Not even close to the factory CCA, if you read the link, these are not recommended for cars used in cold climates. So only use this if your car is a toy, or if you wanna switch in a regular battery during the winter time. There are larger dry cell batteries that have a CCA that "approaches" but probably doesn't meet the stock battery's CCA rating. HTH, TB

So are you putting it in the trunk? How much is a relocation kit if so? If not, how will you hold it in the stock location?

Personally, I think if a relocation to the trunk is in order. I'd put one or two full size batteries back there and improve the weight distribution of the car instead of making it lighter.
