I am at the crossroads where I'm going to be forced to replace Shocks/Struts. I am debating my options. What do you guys suggest? Joe and I discussed the BAT System. We both stated that it would probably be cheaper or just as cheap to replace the whole system. Or is there something better with a reasonable price? I will not be racing my Contour but I drive very spirited on a more than regular basis. I don't really just wanna replace it with regular replacement parts.

I dunno, but I think joe has forgotten about hte SVT struts that Cindy gave him a while back! They are just sitting in his garage at the house!! Call him and ask him what he thinks about it 777-0069!! We could prolly do that ourselves but I'm not sure! Joe would know as would Paul as to wether or not we could do that!! Obviously you will need an alignment afterwards though! Just a thought!!

There is a group buy going on for the Bat kit right now. I think its $50 off the regular price. The SVT set up would probably be the cheapest to get. Especially since Joe has the struts sitting in his garage.

Are you getting the BAT springs?? I think they are a 2.25" drop. The SE is gonna be low because it has a low suspension stock, make sure it will clear the fenders.

The struts have 60,000 on them. Still better than regular stock struts. I wanted new ones because I wanted to start autocrossing and they weren't as tight as new. Still probably better than what you have. However, they are valved different than stock struts, they did also get paired with stiffer springs. I don't know, it's up to you if you think it will be better. Just ask Joe if he has plans for them.

After some discussion and some thought I feel that If I'm going ahead and rplacing the strus I'm going to put new stuff on it. I'd hate in 10,000 miles to have to redo anything. Besides I think I want to go ahead and replace springs. It will be such a pain of a job that I want to take care of everything I can while I'm there.

It's looking like the BAT kit. It's the best price and I won't be autocrossing or anything.
