Sorry I have been busy, haven't responded to your PM yet. Anyways, they approved a "used" engine which I'm not happy about but Ron said he had to fight to get that much. They will also only pay for book time, meaning that I may have to pay for the diagnostic stuff. Right now, Ron has found a 40k mile engine but he is still looking and waiting to get some hard numbers as far as labor goes.
What did you mean by alignment? Engine alignment or wheel alignment? If its wheel alignment, Ron has never done that nor offer that as a service.
Also, the warranty is claiming vandalism as the reason they won't give me a "new" engine. Along with the silicone sealant in the pickup tube they found what looked like a BB from a BB gun in there as well. I don't know what the heck is going on with that or how that crap got in there.

A BB? That's pretty random. How much is he paying for the 40,000 mile engine? AS far as the wheel alignment goes Ron uses one of those mobile alignment guys. I guess he comes by on a truck with all the equipment. Guess I should have been suspect James

Yeah no kidding...Its possible its something else but thats what it looked like.
Not sure of the final numbers yet. He is waiting on the warranty to send him some figures. If I want a "new" engine then it would cost me roughly $1500 more. Thats a lil much especially with all the financial crap thats been happening to me this year.

I'd be very worried about putting in an svt engine with 40,000 miles on it. **** there is a ticking noise coming from my engine bay right now, thank god the engine I have is a ford reman. I'm gonna run it into the ground.
Good luck anyways!

Yeah me too...not very happy about it but nothing I can do. It could have been beat on relentlessly or some old dude was driving it who never revved it past 3000 rpm's; who knows.

Whatever you do have them put on a DMD. Once I get a job, that's the first thing i'm buying.
