how do you wax your car?? I've got a big waxing saturday planned and just thought about this. I've always gone over the whole car and then wiped the whole thing down, kind of tedious by the end of it. What do you think? smile smile

I have always done a section at a time. Lot easier to get the wax off instead of letting it sit there. Are you waxing by hand or machine? Btw some waxs I do beleive do sugest to wax the entire car and then wipe off. What do the instructions say?

I think it would be easier doing it a section at a time.

yeah, I think its mostly personal. I don't think the wax specifies much more than wipe on-wipe off. I just always find myself rushing through the process b/c I'm worried the wax will sit on the car too long. I just remembered I have an orbital buffer that I haven't tried waxing with...it might be time to give that a shot.

I do the whole car at once. But, it only takes about 8 minutes for me to put a a coat of Z2 on my car. A whole day to wax a car? I spent about 10 hours each over a few days doing the prep work to my & my wife's vehicles this spring. But the actualy protection only takes minutes. I use carnuba on my RX-7, but even that doesn't take a whole day once the car is clean and prepared.

Personal preference. I prefer one panel at a time, but don't miss a panel or it might look kinda stupid.

When doing 4 steps it is much easier and faster to do the whole car! And if you did miss a spot, you'll see it right away!
