If anyone does a search on Google for V8 ford focus, the first site you come to will give you viruses.
Now the other day I found that out and while Norton caught a few, downladers and trojans, I don't think it got all of them. Ever since then web pages load slow and the little light on the back of the computer for internet activity is always on.
Now my Norton won't start up and I've found a few things that I believe don't belong but I can't delete.
Is there any program that will tell me what is going over my internet connection and is there a way to force something to delete?

www.netlimiter.com - helps with traffic control and monitoring Also I've personally found that avast antivirus finds lots of viruses that norton doesn't on web pages.

I would try turning on the Windows Firewall. It blocks almost everything. Click Start > All programs > Accessories > System tools > Security Center

Disconnect your internet cable from the computer.
Turn off system restore because some of these critter can re-infect from your restore points. Restart in safe mode and then do a virus scan. Safe mode will prevent most of the crap from loading and disabling your anti virus or camouflaging it's self. Also if you try to install other programs to hunt down these bugs do it in safe mode.
The free version of Zonealarm is a much better firewall than Microsoft.
Hijackthis is a great program for stopping unwanted programs from running.

Now my norton antivirus isn't working at all and I can't reload it onto my pc.

It won't let you uninstall, then re-install while in safe mode??

I had the pesky "spyfalcon" virus a few months ago. It would ask you to buy this program to protect internet security and everytime you go to start a webpage, it would bring you to their website. Took me about an hour worth of deleting and restarting to finally get rid of the stipid thing.
Find out what the unwanted programs are named and search for a resolution for them.

Try uninstall Norton and reinstalling in safe mode. The crap has hooked on to your security software. If you have another computer, download AVG free, spybot and install that in safe mode. It's probably not a virus but a spyware bot and they're a bugger to get rid of. You can also get Ewedo from the AVG site but I'm not sure how that works now. It may scan and say "Yep you got something and if you send us money we'll get rid of it" I don't know.

I find AdAware to be a touch more thorough than Spybot. It's more user-friendly too.

Well both my Norton and Webroot Spysweeper were damaged and that's all I can tell so far. I can't find my copy of spysweeper either to reinstall.
I ran norton and it didn't come up with anything either so I don't know what gives.
