I got a remaned drivers side axle from Napa. It seems to be about an inch too short by the diff. Is it possible that this axle is for a Zetec? The part number on my invoice is correct according to their website.

Thanks

Bring it back and ask for another one then. Maybe it was mis-packed when it was rebuilt.

I did a remaned from Napa also and had no issues.

Some are the same, some after different. Depends on which side, and wether it's manual or auto. Drivers side manuals share the same part, but auto does not. (If GCK is correct)

The GCK chart will give a better idea:

I got the axle to work, it seems I did not engage it all the way into the transmission. I had part number NCV9305.

Napa lists Zetec and Duratec as different part numbers for the mtx.

I have a duratec manual...

Driverside is different than a zetec manual.
