I'm getting a P0156 code "O2 sensor Bank 2 Sensor 2 malfunction". I got the Autera Dynoscan proggy and it confirms it's flatlined. Since it's showing little to no voltage, should I check the connector for voltage before buying a new sensor? If so, what should the voltage be going into the sensor? 1 more question! Is this sensor located in the lower front near the front engine mount? Here's a pic of that program in action. Cool stuff:)

Correct. Bank 2 Lower O2 sensor.
Edit. And yes, check/clean the connector first. If you drove over a big puddle and water got in the connector, it could set this code. Disconnect battery, unplug O2 connector, clean/dry it, then reconnect and maybe tape with duct tape to prevent water from getting in it. If code doesn't come back, you've found the problem.
O2 sensor voltage test.

Bank 2 (radiator side) Lower O2 sensor;
On this 2-Dimensional picture, ignore the red box and arrow, the Bank 2 Lower is the sensor on the right of the pre-cat (closest to the oil filter). The arrow is pointing to the Bank 2 pre-catOriginally posted by chongo:

Will your scanner read less than 1 volt? Some drop out. Sometimes the sensor isn't bad, the exhaust is so lean it generates little voltage.

The connector is dry, a bit of dust but ok otherwise. It gets 12v to the heater so that's ok too.
I don't know if the scanner can read -volts. If that bank was lean, would the 1st sensor S1B2 also show a lower voltage?

Yes, B2S1 should show a lower voltage too if Bank 2 were lean. But your Bank 2 precat can't be that efficient that you get a 0.0 volt reading for B2S2 with a reading of 0.68 volts for B2S1.

Looked like either a bad sensor or no voltage from the ECM to the sensor. I got a new sensor since it was the easiest "fix" and... It's fixed! Thanks for the suggestions
