Yeah, I'm waiting for my transmission to fall off too. I wouldn't expecct it to be holding up very well after how I've driven it the past three years on aging lube (up until a flush this year).
If it goes, I smell a swap to manual. No big deal- I think you're stressing out too hard man. I'd be upset but cars always break and they never stay perfect.
Just my thoughts. I'd hate for you to sell your car away like that. It's an awesome car.

Yup, my craptastic CD4E is done for...if all goes as planned i'll be pulling the trans sometime next week after finals are over...gonna get the trans rebuilt...if i can get at least 2.5 more years out of this car i'll be happy...then it's time to move on.

IIRC, you've got some nice headlights, so someone should get right on that

I'd strongly consider buying your Mystique in a couple years to have as my second car as you keep your car up very well, something to think about, even if it is sometime down the road. Make sure you take good care of that tranny once its done, even go as far as having them use synthetic trans fluid and installing a trans cooler

Man you got a nice car there, and like he said paying for a new clutch and laybor would be cheaper then a new car payment in the long run. Do what you want though...

yeah.. it was an absolutely beautiful car when it was in its prime. I loved the centerlines, but ended up getting rid of them when times got real rough. This car has been through hell and back with me. It was my own form of therapy during some extremely trying times of my life, and it is sad to see it in the state that it is in now. I walked outside this morning and realized that ultimately i got a few great years out of her, and now it is time to move on. I think i am going to try to sell it outright, and not parting it out. I appreciate everyones condolences, and will definately make sure that the car goes to someone who will treat it well.
