'fit'
what do you mean? a turbo kit off a mtx would with a atx.. the only thing different would be tuning. but anyways I wouldn't run boost on a atx, asking for tranny trouble. (personal oppinion, others might say otherwise)

it would be using a te04h mitsubishi turbo and you would have to relocate the battery. once mine is finished i will talk to the guys that are helping me and see if they would be willing if i cant get enough interest.

TE04? Off of a Lebaron GTC right? I found one and was going to put it on my Automatic Zetec, but then I bled my car to death...
I'd be interested in the progress made while putting it together...
Lessee, those TE04s are rated at a maximum boost output of 7psi, so the results should be comparable to a JRSC with lag and a wonderful PSHHHHH everytime you shift....
I say go for it! The exhaust flange looks like, with some modification, could weld up to a stock contique exaust manifold pretty easily, and some work would be needed to run oil lines, an oil cooler, and intake plumbing...
If you could find a way to use a water-air intercooler, this could be a pretty popular setup...
I say go for IT!!!!!

actually its off a voyager but same thing. we are actually makeing the manifold and mounting the turbo under where the battery goes (hence the reason for the Battery relocation). im going to use a small side mount intercooler mounted up front.
the turbo is actually able to push about 10psi which is about 21lbs of air/minute. it should spool up by about 2k rpm maybe a little later. im planning on only running about 6psi to start.
the kit would include manifold, turbo, downpipe, intercooler, pipeing, chip, oil and water lines, 30# injectors, kenne-bell pump booster, bypass valve. thats all i can think of at the moment. im sure im missing something
extras would include the battery relocation kit and cone filter.
i will deffinatly take lots of pictures during instalation. if anybody has any suggestions please let me know. im going to talk to them tomarrow and see what they think so anybody that is interested please start a list so i can get a count of how many would be interested.

Even non-intercooled, the turbo would stomp the JRSC. It is just plain sad how little TQ the the JRSC has and how much it heats the intake charge.
BTW, a manual boost controller would remove the 7psi limit.

Do it! Lets get some more FI'd Contour Zetecs running around.
BTW, I still want to see if the shop by me could sell the manifold adapter and downpipe that I'm going to be using on my setup. That way we'd have a Mits kit and a T3 kit.
This rocks.

I'm also palanning on contacting either TurboTom or ADC about making/selling the chip. That way with an xcal2, you could get a decent base tune and tweak it to your setup. TurboTom is a great help to the Turbo Zetec'ers over on the Focus Fanatics Forum. I had a bad experience with ADC, so I'll probably contact Tom first. BP
