And it's definitely not a dyno queen. He's building the car to be very fast. He's the kinda guy that if it's not winning, he's gonna keep improving it. Just like he kept turning the boost up on the t3, cracked a sleeve, and now should be making over twice the horsepower when it's all done with the new parts. The first event he plans on taking it to is a nopi event in april. I'll update this with results then.
and in the end its still a civic, money that could have been spent on say a mustang and probably be twice as fast.

I agree! Anything except a civic. I would of at least picked a car that was RWD if you going to be putting that kind of time/money into the car.

And in the end you still have a contour. Who cares? If it's fast, it's fast. Like I said, he's already got the big time rwd drag cars. He's twenty something, the civic isn't like his last/dream car. And really the cost of it is a lot less than you think. No way would the same money that he's spending get you a mustang even close to as fast as the civic. He's not a honduh guy at all. This is just a little project.
Just mad that a cheap pos civic can blow your doors off.

ive spent maybe what.. 2 grand on my car in TOTAL including maintence, that car has over 15-20 grand in it, so that comparison is apples to oranges, for 20 grand i could have a low 11's, high 10 second Cobra that can be daily driven...
Im just saying you mod out cars that are performance oriented to begin with, not cars that are used for economy and effiency.

After my buddy bought the car he had a bunch of motor work done to it, and he just got it tuned yesterday and while only running 18lbs of boost it was putting down around 420hp at the wheels. he was limited to 18lbs of boost because thats all the injectors would allow for fuel flow(while maintaing an operational engine) , so now he is gonna try to sell his other car to uprgade it, and add a stand alone.....he wants to be able turn up the boost to like 27lbs or so break 500hp
i got a question i know the diesil turbo's spool faster when there used with a diesil engine
do they spool at lower rpms on a gas engine or is just a diesil thing
sorry for the newbie question

Nope he is going to reverse the trans and have 5 reverse gears, when he gets to the drag strip he'll run the damn thing in reverse while driving in the rear view mirror.
Just kinding(hopefully)! Althought that would be funny to see.
It seems like that is going to be a crazy civic til your done with it. Good luck.
