Been reading through a bunch of the exhaust threads here & going through Magnaflow's site as well. It seems the basic consensus in regards to replacing the resonator is to put a Magnaflow #10435 in it's place. No problem there. However, out back some have used a pair of the #14843's which are a 6" round muffler. Which looks fine and all, but I personally think a lower profile oval muffler might look better and be less prone to scraping. The oval ones Magnaflow makes usually come in 5"x8" dimensions and the one that looks like it might work is the #14850 which is 14" long just like the #10843's. The internal dimensions are also identical so the only difference really is the height/width of the body. Anybody know if these will fit or will they be too wide for that area of the car?
Oh weird. I came across that thread when searching, but didn't even notice they were oval. Def the look I'm going for, but prefer the 14850's straight-cut tip. Too bad they don't make it with the double-wall tip.
