Wells guys, I havent been on here in a bit. I was actually oversees doing the military thing. I let my wife use the car while I was gone and I swear she hit every curb and huge speed bump in Las Vegas. Anyway, I want to get the front bumper repainted but as you can imagine she has tons of scratches in her. I was wondering if I should just sand the whole bumper myself first and do some bondo and what not and then just have a body shop primer/repaint it. I am sure it would save me some good money. Any how-to's I missed in my searching? Cause I found none. Any help is appreciated. I would post pics but I am to assamed.

welcome back. sorry to hear that. i know that if you do sand it down urself it can be a PITA . and i know alot of shops wont paint it if you sanded it ur self and primered it because it could mess with the way they do it. when i had my old car i did the sanding a primer myself and i toke it to 3 shops before one said they would do it. the reason for that is that alot of shops give you some kind of warrenty and when i toke it to those shops they said if something starts chipin or spyder crackin due to my sandin and primering they wouldnt give me a warrenty. if i was you i would just goo and find a decent place that isnt outragous and get them to do it . always good to get it with a warrenty u never know what could happend and then you can go back and have them redo it .lol
hope that helps
