I was at a car show with my Taurus and got to talking to a guy, and he has a 94 SHO 5 speed. I really like both cars, they both have 5 speeds I just wanted to know what everyone thought? 1994 Taurus SHO 3.2l Yamaha 5 speed 97,000 nice looking and good seats 1995 Contour SE 2.5l Duratec 5 speed 125,000 few hail dents and seats need replaced I took the SHO the other day it is great. The people who own it have had it sence 95 and the lady just drives it to work.

Are you talking racing or what? The SHO should wins hand down against an SE.
and the MTX SHOs came with the 3.0L Yamahammer stock. However, recently, like with us, the rave is swapping the ATXs 3.2L into the cars.
The SHOs have much more creature comforts and IMO, are better for the long cruises. Comapred to an SE I give the SHO two thumbs up. Against the CSVT though, the CSVT is the better all around package (stock v stock)

Sorry No. I own the 95 Se already but if I buy the SHO then I will have to sell the Contour. I want to keep them both but my wife won't let me.

Do your research on SHOs first. They aren't a non-DIY friendly car. Parts are becoming obsolete, hard to find, and expensive for the cars.

Now that's a deal for that mileage. Better know how to work on cars though.

...i'd agree with you there...this past january i bought a 95 sho..wanted one since i got my liscense in 96..anyways..the ebrake froze up and while try to unfreeze the ebrake it caused alot of pressure on the rear brakelines and they busted.....right by the distrubution box..couldnt find a new one anywere, coolant was leaking from the tb...etc,etc..not sure where my story was heading, but my point was none of the parts were available

I do know how to work on my own cars. I have never had to take any of my cars in to have it worked on and I have done it all myself.
