I'm looking into getting a pre-98 pnp zetec head. Will this be a problem on my 99 cause it has VCT??? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You will get a CEL.....that will unltimately slow down your car. Also the head on the pre 98 is different than the 98+ other than the VCT....like timing belt pulley placement.

The pre 98' and 2000 up focus heads are different from the VCT heads. The VCT heads have the cam sensor on the wrong camshaft(will cause ignition problems) and also has a sensor located between the shafts next to the timing belt for the VCT. So if you have a VCT car you will have to stay with a vct casting or swap your wiring harness and ecu.
