Guess you're tired of having superb gas mileage?

I can see it now:

Seriously? Amazing car. Unique, looks hot, handles very, very well, and it's amazingly practical for being so damn fast!

Give me a ride when you pick a color.

lol!

Well, I now live 3 blocks from work, so I don't need the mileage as much as I did when I was routinely going back and forth between school and home (3hrs)...

I figured I'd enjoy something faster and more fun for the weekends, and plus with the current lease specials I'd actually save more by switching.

I do like the TDI though, its solidly built, reliable, comfortable, and (for being slow) its still pretty fun... plus the gas mileage! i do miss the speed and sheer tossability of a sports car though.

Looked into an SRT-4 but the dealer wouldn't budge on it.

Do your two cents have a reason?

Oh, yeah, I missed the lease part. I saw RX-8 and got kind of excited. I would never lease. Just buy the damn thing.

It's a fancy way of saying 'renting'. I can understand people leasing if it they absolutely need a car and it's the only way they can afford it. But if you'd be leasing to get a car you want, I'd suggest not doing it. Wait a year or two for when you can buy.

Good reasons there, but how long do you plan on owning the RX-8? Trust me, going from 40+ mpg to 20- mpg will dampen your pockets not matter what your driving habits are. If you're looking for an SRT-4, get a used one for a song. Low mileage 04' examples still under warranty can be had for under $18k easy. Plus you'll have a car that's faster than the RX-8, now where near as expensive, cheaper on insurance, and better gas mileage.

ZeteChris just got a job at a Mazda dealer as a porter and got to drive 3 brand new ones today, he told me that they offer a very spirited driving experience
