So I was going to lunch this afternoon, driving through your average middle-class shopping area of town (Fort Worth in this case) and I saw a sign that just made me bust out laughing. I wish I had my camera, it'd be worth a lot more.

It was one of those backlight signs you see frequently where you have to stick the individual letters on it and it was in front of a little strip mall. It was for a little mom and pop insurance company.

Bilingual signs are pretty common around here and on the sign was various stuff in Spanish about the types of insurance they had, but the last line was "We also speak English!"

I dunno, perhaps it's funnier if you're actually there.

You can feel that the whites are going to be the minority in the U.S. soon enough when you see that.

we definately need to start cracking down on this type of BS; I for one am getting really tired of having my eyes assulted by all the gibberish displayed everywhere, and this is in MI. I can't imagine how ridiculous the situation is there.

the sign should have read "This is America, we speak English."
and then possibly proceeded with "occasionally we are nice enough to bring in an infant with which we will decifer your babble."

not "we also speak English".... this is what you should find IF you find a reason to vacation in Mexico or Germany

Don't worry your kind will defenitely be weeded out eventually. That gibberish is called Spanish. Unless you are a Native American your ancestors also came here speaking "gibberish." "usted ha sido posedo" that says you got owned. I figured I should translate since you dont speak "gibberish."

The only 'cracking down on' it you can do is march.

Saw a funny one along US 1 during my last trip to Maine. Out in front of a Mom & Pop general store at Christmas.

"JESUS LOVES YOU"
----------------
"GUNS & AMMO"

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

Only Spain settled North America? What history book did you learn from?
