and the like really as bad as they say?
I'm going to DC, VA, NY, PA, MY next month to see some sites and such. I have heard that in DC about six or seven cars run the red light all the time.
Also if anyone has been to Chicago, is it better or worse for driving than say DC is?
thanks a ton

Driving and DC don't mix. Metro all the way.

Bah, it's not THAT bad. *shakes*
Seriously, though, it really depends on where you're going and when. For the most part, if you're going in to be touristy, though, you're better off using the Metro transit system subway thingy.

BS.
Bring your car and enjoy the city. When you get to Maryland come holla at us.

No worse than any other city. But like any other city you don't want to try to drive anywhere during rush hour. Also, like every other city, parking is a [censored] (unless you like they-drive-it parking garages). Since most of DC's interesting sites are near a Metro station, I'd go that route.

Compared to Grand Rapids, its something you would never fathom traffic wise. Chicago is somewhat comparable, but you'll still be in for a shock. Take the metro system when you can.

The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment
for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety
labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?
