Most likely a suspension part is bad. I would start by checking your ball joints.
How many miles by the way you have?

My experience has been that this is usually a tire problem. One of the front tires is out of balance for any of several reasons including that it may be starting to come apart or has worn down on one edge to the steel belts.

Check for Alignment, unbalanced tires, or hell... Check your sway bar mounts... If you have a "klunking" noise coming from the front end when the car flexs a little (hits a bump, pull out of a driveway), then you have a bad sway bar link. Back when my passenger front link was bad, at 70 MPH my steering wheel would vibrate, but not constantly, it would vibrate for about half a minute, then stop, then do it again. replaced the link... Was good... Now I have to replace the Driver side link...

Not trying to rail on you, alignment being out of spec wont give a shaking, tire being out of balance is felt above 60mph because the wheels are doing more spins a second than at lower speeds.

If this is a constant back and forth shaking that seems to come and go with certain speeds...I would check the tires for balance.

I just said like two seconds ago it cant be tire balance at lower speeds, tires being out of balance is felt above 60mph, now like Jim said a damaged tire is a cause for the shaking as well.

Tires need to balanced on two plains. Radial and lateral. when a tire is out of balance from side to side (laterally, I think), usually from damage or wear, you can get a side to side shake. It is noticable at much lower speeds than what you may think of as a more normal out of balance shake.

Most of the time, when I feel that kind of shake on a road test, I find a front tire or tires that are worn to the steel belts on one edge only.

What Big jim said

One of the tires may have slipped a belt. Try putting the back tires on the front and fronts on the back and see if you notice any difference.

brakes maybe. My car would steer the other way while braking. I've spun out twice on the highway because of it
