My rear tires keep wearing to the metal thread just on the inner 2 inches while the rest remains perfectly good tread. Fifth time i've had a flat on the way to or from work...what do I do? Is this the alignment or does it mean something is bent? I haven't hit/run over anything. Would the struts or something cause this? Is this a common thing? I couldn't find anything with the search. All I know is i can't afford to keep buying tires, man.

Do you get your tires balanced when they're installed ? I think that can affect tire wear. I would also check the entire rear suspension system, including mounts. Do you have abnormal noises from the rear ?

sounds to me like your caster/camber are off. Get a wheel alignment and it should fix it, unless something is bent.

The only adjustment you can do to the rear wheels is to set the toe. I suspect you have a camber problem, but there is no adjustment for the camber. Now, I maybe wrong on this, but I believe that defective struts will cause a bad camber setting. If so, the struts could be the problem, rather than the toe alignment.
When I bought my mystique, I was having the same problem, and new struts solved the big majority of the problem.

Could bad mount bushings cause that?? Like letting the struts move a little so that the tires move more the edge.
