If the inability to purchase "flesh" toned Band-Aids that match your skintone and/or the ability to see people of your own race on TV sitcoms is the best examples of "white priveledge" that anyone can come up with, I'd say we're doing pretty damn good. Your grandparents would walk into a pharmacy and fear a lynch mob. If the only thing you're concerned about in that pharmacy is whether the band-aids match your skin-tone, we've come a very long way in a very short time. That's not to say we shouldn't go further.
I also find it hilarious that these articles denounce vast generalizations while making their own about "white people". I guess saying that "white people [think they] don't need blacks" is an acceptable statement.

Don't make ASSumptions. I read the last article before I posted. Because of this post, I went and read another, but just like the last post, it's the same crap I've heard a million times before (I'm not saying it doesn't have some validity). I'm not gonna waste my time reading the others because I'm sure they're the same crap.
Little boy, again, this white/black crap has to end before racism/priviledges for certain races,etc. will be gone. I think it's all crap. We should all be treated the same. There should be no scholarships for a certain race, there should be no hiring based on race,etc. This would also require some people (from all races) to think differently. You, being the close minded person that you are, probably can't understand this and you're just part of the problem.

Exactly and even that is crap. There is a whole TV channel for black people, ever heard of BET? And I see more and more black people (and every race) on TV everyday. I think (maybe I'm alone, or maybe I'm just one of the few that would rather see the advancement of ALL man kind rather than just my own race) that we have reached the point they we all have same rights and what not and that we need to eliminate priveledges on all sides that are unfair. Again, we need to stop this white and black thinking.

You cliam you read the articles but yet your not talking about ANYTHING the articles spoke about. The last three articles spoke about the untalked advantage that white Americans have in this country. Mind you, these articles were written by whites!
Close minded? Hardly. Don't get it twisted, son. I am proud of the progress so far, but I am not going to be naive and think that society has put me on the same playing field as my white counterpart.

Yes I am talking about what the articles are talking about. I'm not quoting them but neither are you.  Untalked about advantage? I know I've talked about it before and have heard it many times before. And no I won't deny it exists in some aspects, but so does a black advantage exists in other aspects. You can say you're not close minded, your posts have proved otherwise. That's good, daddy.  I also believe many of us are not on the same playing field, but right now, no race is above the other in every aspect. Blacks are give priveledges whites aren't, whites have some priveledges that blacks don't. Only difference is that the priveledges blacks have over whites can be openly discussed with little criticism, while white priveledges do get criticized. Again, all these priveledges need to be done away with, no more white and black. And if you want a truly good read, not just the same old crap, here's one for you. Keep in mind, that I don't agree with every point of the article. Simply, it's a good read, discuss.
