I am getting ready to do a batt relocation to my trunk. I just want to make sure that I am going to be wiring my amp and such correctly. I did a rough draft of what I think I need to do. Please look it over for me.

You might want to ground your amp in the back about 6 inches from where you mount it as well as to the battery. Also are you going to have two batterys or just the one cause you still need to get the back battery hooked up to the charging system of the car, no?

Yes, I am going to put the distribution blocks in front under the hood and run the cable up there. And yes I planned on grounding the amp also. I was just making sure that it was ok to use one fuse for the amp and battery.

Also, what gauge wire do I run from the distribution block to the amp?

do not fuse the main power supply for the car or alt. i did this by mistake. the resistance is too much to get the power to the car. youre better off running the amp right off the batt and not the batt line and forget the dis block on the mainline to the car.

Yes DEFINATELY fuse the wire you have running to the trunk going to your amps. Put the fuse as close as you can to the battery (doesnt have to be right next to it, just the closer the safer).

I dont mean to sound redundant but in that how-to I was under the impression that I am supposed to place a fuse inline with the 0ga wire I am going to run from my battery in the trunk to the front of the car and connects to the distribution block(which will have the wires that went to the pos side of the batt in the oem location).

Am I mistaken?
