well after having a mirko sitting in my garage for a over a year, doing some routine maintenance i decide to install it unpainted to i could drive around for a week or so to get used to it installed before i pay to have it painted....i was bumfuzzled on the install...i did some searching (lots of broken links and dead photo albums) i stumbled across pascal's old photo album of his install...here is my question....after installing the brackets, i noticed they hung lower than the splitter itself, didnt even come close to lining up right as far as height goes....is this the norm? i noticed in pascal's album he had the splash guard actually bent 90 degrees out down and away from the engine towards the front of the car? is that what must be done? common problem or what? thanks

I cant remember if i had to bend my brackets more, but mine are shaped like an S you could say to reach the splash shield. I also recommend put lots of double sided tape behind the splitter onto your fascia. If you dont, your gonna have lots of scratch marks.

Where did you install the brackets, exactly? One of them is slightly longer than the other, and I can't remember if it goes on the passenger side or driver side but it makes a difference. Don't know if that helps at all I had a hard time getting an image of what you were trying to describe.

You gotta bang the brakets in a flat surface using a hammer to make it fit.
