Been talking to Keith about releasing a 'basic' turbo kit. The cost would be about $3750 but would get you going. It would include:

T3/4 - .48AR and .57 trim
BOV
Tial
Chip
Water injection
fuel injectors
All piping mild steel
Misc hoses and fittings

It would use the same jig as the regular kit so an intercooler could be added later.

Would you be interested
Hell yes build it I have the money now
Maybe if I can make some money
No thanks

Just curious if some pieces would be sold separate?

Its a good idea. Its nice to be able to break up the price a little. What about lowering the price a little. Or having a special

The idea behind the 'basic' kit was to lower the price. Are you suggesting a group buy on the full kit or did not see that the estimated cost was 3750?

so what isnt in the kit, intercooler and headers? that seems to make up most of the price difference. what else?

i like the idea of a basic kit that can be made into your full kit piece by piece. give more people a taste, then once their hooked they are still able to add on a few of the more $$$ pieces later

Before I vote...
The major differences seem to be the mild steel vs. the stainless and of course the intercooler. Yeah? Am I missing something?

I'd say the biggest appeal of the ADC kit is the quality. 5K for a tits-mahoney turbo setup never seemed that bad, but it has, of course, detered me thus far.

I wouldn't be terribly opposed to water injection (in fact, I've thought about it before ), but the mild steel headers I think I would be opposed to. Would parts be interchangeable?

i think that this is a really great idea!! if i had the money i would definetly buy a kit of this nature. i love the features, quality and comprehensiveness of the full kit; but for the vast majority of us out there it is just too expensive.

i would love to have an option like this available because i know that i personally have the ability to complete the kit on my own using the features that i choose. the major hurdle of a turbo kit for most DIY'ers is the turbo manifolds and other miscellaneous piping. most local shops won't even touch this kind of job for a reasonable price. if you guys make this option available, i know that i will be jumping on it as soon as the funds are available!

just a thought, it would be awesome if you guys could allow purchases of individual peices of the kit so that us DIY'ers could work the rest out on our own. i know that you prolly feel like you would be losing money; but, making any sale at all (even if it is only a set of turbo headers) would be better than making no sale because the price of the total kit is just out of reach for most buyers.

The main differences between the origional and basic are things like, battery relocation materials, spark plugs, mild steel as opposed to stainless, W/I instead of intercooler, catalytic converter, and perhaps a few other little things.

Well how about this. How about a 'menu' so to speak and you build your own kit from a list of parts that will fit together?
