OP LBVSVT_dup1 CEG\'er L Joined: Sep 2000 Posts: 449 GTA, Ontario, Canada	My stock tach needle jerks up and down instead of the smooth sweep it normally has - even when cruising it can jerk a few hundred RPM either way. Any ideas out there? 98.5 SVT now gone ... new wheels = 2005 330i

I pried it up a bit with a spoon, doesn't hit anymore and moves smoothly now. Otherwise, you must look for needle in haystack (assuming it's an intermittent poor electrical connection in dash). similar problem 98 Mystique LS v6 atx 163,000km 97 Contour LX v6 atx 163,000km
