Are there micro organisms living on your eyeball? I swear I can see them sometimes. Mainly when I first wake up and my eyes are still focusing I think I see little ameoba looking things moving around. Am I crazy?
if its the same thing, those would be little particles of dust, dirt, or possibly even scratches of some kind to your eye. i notice that too. they "move" because your eyes are moving.
I've always wondered if other people saw them too, but never drew up the courage to ask around. Try 'following' one around your eye (try to look at it directly), it's impossible!
either that or you're just seeing spots becuase your eyes haven't focused. you can't see microscopic stuff w/o a microscope
I have that same problem too. Weird
Sometimes it happens when I squint hard too
well theres micro organisms living everywhere on your body, including the eyeballs, Ive seen the same thing you mentioned, but not too sure if theyre said organisms in question.
Id imagine you could see them, since they are so close to the retina, they would be magnified a whole bunch, but thats just speculation on my part.
what you are seeing are images of light burnt into your eyes. (ie looking at the sun or other bright light)
When I was younger i asked my eye doc and he said something about it being the result of the light-sensitive rods and cones in your retina becoming momentarily overwhelmed by an immediate influx of light, causing "spots".
I've also heard thought it can be the result of burns in the retna.
What you are seeing are commonly called "floaters." Everybody has them. They're nothing to worry about, unless you happen to notice them increasing in number.

Floaters are deposits of various size, shape, consistency, refractive index, and motility within the eye's normally transparent vitreous humour[1]. They may be of embryonic origin or acquired due to degenerative changes of the vitreous humour or retina[1]. The perception of floaters is known as myodesopsia, or less commonly as myiodeopsia, myiodesopsia, or myodeopsia[1]. When observed subjectively, floaters are entoptic phenomena characterized by shadow-like shapes which appear singly or together with several others in one's field of vision. They may appear as spots, threads, or fragments of cobwebs, that float slowly before one's eyes.
Now I feel 100% better thinking back that I asked my 2nd grade teacher about it and she looked at me funny..
Always wondered what they were.
I don't know about anyone else, but when I'm flying at around 30,000 feet (IN AN AIRPLANE DERR) I see them more often.
Prenatal thingamajigs, from where your eyes first budded in you head in the womb. Had an Eye Dr. check it out.
Thanks for the answer. I figured someone on here would know. I've never thought of asking anyone before. I don't see them very often, but know I feel smarter.
I am confused. The original post is about the clear looking, ameoba like things you can see especially in bright light as if they were actually on your eyeball. the "floater" description almost sounds like when the rods/cones or whatever in your eye get lazy from looking at bright light causing a dark purple/black/brown spot to appear in your vision temporarily. I have seen both
I've seen simlar things in/on my eye. I believe it was a scratch of some sorts, because I don't see it anymore.
haha
we are talking bout seeing thigs what u rollin be careful man u shouldnt be seeing things after u came down maybe u should quit or somethign i know its har but there are prescriptiong drugs out there that help
