I have a file that is opening in word perfect and I want it to open in word pad. how do I change it? if I go to open with it comes up with all this funky text
WinXP: open explorer, etc, so you can see the file itself.
right click, properties.
In the second subsection of that window will be an icon, and the text: "Open with..." click that, browse to you location of wordpad, etc, and doubleclick the executable of wordpad, etc.
does the file open in word perfect correctly? if it does, try saving it as a txt or rtf file, something wordpad can understand.
