everytime I click a link it opens a ne tab and if I use the mouse wheel it zooms in and out. how do I fix this.

It seems to me like you have stickey keys on... If you're comptuer beeps whenever you push shift or alt, or ctrl. Then stickey keys are on... press shift 5 times and that should make it go away.

If you haven't already, try a Firefox add-on called "Tabbrowser Extensions". It will give you a lot more control over tabs, which is really what makes the Firefox interface so good in the first place.
