Just saw this when surfing through alot of different racing news sites. Really sad... Seems Markko hit a tree on stage 15. Markko was not hurt, but his co-driver was killed.

That sucks, it's amazing how few deaths occur in WRC given the nature of the sport. The Co-Drivers have a very difficult job to do and he was good.

even with the level of safety up so hi it is amazing more people arnt seriously hurt. motorracing is a dangerous sport and one must feel for the family and esp for martin. hopefully the car can be analyzed and modified so that this may never be an issue again.
