Ok, we have talked and talked and talked about it. Lets get this thing rolling. Say 2 months from now so everyone can plan ahead. Grand Juction would be a great place for all, and we could do some Mountain runs and so forth. I see the UT cars online and would love to see them all in person, even the box !!! What ya'll say yes or no -B.

There is also a dyno in GJ. We could rent for fun.

I don't know that I'll be able to make a meet in 2 months. I'm working 40hrs each week and I have 3 huge azz papers due this semester, too. In fact, I'm currently stressing about one right now!

Besides, my box isn't anything special right now. Needs bigger wheels and fatter tires.

this could be fun

I was talking about Derk box, your car is box -e- but not a box ! lol

Well, I was think something a week or two before Hallowen. Just a weekend get together. I could get us a deal at a hotel and we could all go out to the dyno on Saturday and then cruise the mountains that afternoon or night. This could be an awesome meet, but people have to be willing to do some traveling. -B.

I'd be down. Would love to meet most of the other SW CEGers. Im not going to be around these parts for forever!

Anyway, Grand Junction would be nice. It wouldnt be too pricey either, just share a cheap hotel room with a few other people, no biggie.

Sounds good, I'm down for a SW meet!

So what, like a fri night(sat night) meet?
If you want a cougar.. I might make the drive(cause the drive is kinda fun, but long for me)

How far is GJ from Durango?
I'm about 3 or 4 hours from Durango right now.
Posted By: KingpinSVT Re: UT CO meet - 08/28/05 08:24 AM
GJ has to be a good drive from Durango. Its all state highways, I dont think there is an interstate between them (or close), though I havent looked at a map in a while.

Secondly, I think this would be a get there Saturday (not too early) to Sunday meet. Get there around lunch Saturday and leave around lunch (well, a little after) on Sunday. Basically have a relaxed meet and greet with a cruise or two thrown in. That would be enough to have my attendance.

Sorry for any mis-information or spelling errors. Ive visited Pearl street for the first time in a while (I think Derek will be the only one who knows what Im talking about). Pearl is fun!

Edit: hey look, 4000 posts even. Holy crap thats a lot!

3 hours, 47 minutes 164.97 miles

not too bad.. I guess

You slut!

Oh wait...I have more posts than you and I don't even own the car anymore...

Pearl street was always a little funky...I loved the hippies begging for money, then hopping into their Tacomas and driving off. I think my fav. show was the guy who chained himself up and then got out of the chains.

Anyway - on topic:
There are no interstates btwn GJ and Durango, so it'd be about a 6+ hour trip from Los Alamos. Yeah, that's kinda sealin' the deal for me. I just don't think I'll be able to have that kinda free time this year.

Yeah I think some of the hippies here make a pretty nice income from being bums. Its actually rediculous. But whatever. I was actually referring to the bars

There are drinking establishments on Pearl St.? I thought it was just a place to people watch!
