I can remember a while back someone converting the rear bench to doubled-up front buckets. I can't recall if it was a how to article or not, but have searched my brains out and could not find any pics or info.

I came across a handsome set of those '96 'super-bolster' seats and my brain could not help but wonder...hmmmm

Could anyone share some knowledge?

NorMich99SE got the rear seats out of a cougar and put them in the back of his SE. looked pretty good too.

WOW!, I'd never seen that done to a Contour before! The only thing I ever seen was NorMich's set up and it does look good, a little narrow w/ a gap on the sides, but nothing too bad

I sure looks tight, but now I have to break the promise to myself that I wouldn't take the SVT beyond "slightly modified stock". That is, I like the car to look generally OEM, but don't mind tweaking it a bit.

Cool idea but just doesn't look factory. A fiberglass conter consol that would go all the way back and up between the seats would be suh-weet.

I really like the bucket seat idea. I wish I could change my front seats to a bench seat. Have the ladies sit a little closer! HAHAHAH LOL.

Wouldn't you rather keep your buckets and have her straddle your stick?

Yeah how about a bench *front* seat mod? Nothing like a bench seat to get you close to your sweetie. My truck is good for that.
