Well the last time i hit the Dyno i had 135hp and 145tq. That was with a KKM, Ultraflow in place of res and the Magnaflow in rear. Well those are ok Number but i wannna hit 150hp. so these are the Mods i got going on. Superchip.9mm wires with Ngk plugs. takeing the Upper off and cleaning it. SVT T/B.High flow cat(the vibrant one). do you guys think i will hit 150hp and say 15*tq.

hmmm...You might get close man. Here's another trick....if you really want to hit as high a number as possible, then get a couple of bags of ice and ice your intake before and during your dyno pulls. I guarantee you you'll see at least a 5 hp gain at the wheel from that alone. An iced intake is worth about two tenths on the dragstrip.......but you have to make the intake feel like a cold coke bottle to do so.

Just a tip if dyno numbers are what you're after.

Those are the same numbers i put down a week or so ago, but my alternator was going bad as indicated by the obd2 browser and the charge light. 99svtguy was with me when we did the runs and he gets the credit for figuring out the alternator was robbing me of power on the top end.

I peaked out around 5500-5700 rpm @ 135 or so not the 6250 claimed by the factory. Haven't done another run with the new alternator, but the peak has deff. moved up to 6250 give or take 50 rpm.

My goal is to get to 170. From what i have seen, the chip may work well for you as you have not done much with the exhaust, they seem to do well with close to stock setups, but not so well with heavily modified ones.

I plan to forgo the chip infavor of an APEXi SAFC and 19# injectors (assuming i'm getting close to 170 at the wheels) svt upper an lower intake and tb.

Sorry to bust in ona thread I can't help with, but I'm curious if anyone could shoot me a guesstimate of what kind of power I might be putting down with a 99 SE 2.5 with just an intake. theres no dynos near here that I know of so I can't do a run and would like a rough idea. thanks.

Thanks for the Tip man

Your chances of hitting 150 will be much greater if you deal with the Y-pipe, either "optimize the stock one or do the SHO-Shop Y (on or offroad). Changing to Vibrant cat alone probably minimal gain.

For you.

I'd put your car around 139/147 with those mods. If you gut your pre-cats and get a y-pipe, you should be a lot closer to 150. With the drivetrain loss, hitting 150 in an ATX is like hitting ~175 in an MTX... it's not easy for a standard Duratec unless you replace the entire exhaust, headers-back.

I know of two 150+hp ATX's... mine and that of a Cougar owner who sold his a few months ago. We both dynoed at 151.5. The rest of the V6 ATX's I've seen have been between 119 and 135.

I had (last summer):
Borla Exhaust
Open 9" K&N conical
MSDS headers
220KOhm resistor in place of IAT sensor wink

He had:
Borla Exhaust
Weapon-R intake
MSDS headers
Pro-Flow MAF
removed cat
custom Diablo chip
