If I dropped that I would ask the person standing closest to me to kick me in the balls ASAP.

And if youre wondering, its a GSXR1000

Oh snap

Honestly, a good number of cars could have that look if the bodies were just finished instead of painted. Like the McLaren, IIRC the whole chassis is CF, is it not?

yep, and a lot of the engine parts are too, iirc. (or some other car/s).

is that your bike kingpin? or a friends? why no carbon fiber wheels??

LOL, I wish!

I wouldnt spend my money on CF body work in any case (assuming I had a bike). Falls happen, and I would rather not watch thousands of $$$ scrape off onto the pavement/track when it did.

I agree. They're at the edge of what would be too much but don't go over.

All pictures right clicked and saved as. Especially the Zonda.
Posted By: Goonz SVT Re: Thats a lot of CF! - 08/14/06 04:19 AM
off course that Zonda is in Monaco
Posted By: Tourige Re: Thats a lot of CF! - 08/14/06 05:28 AM
The Zonda is still way to extreme for me.

Id still take the Koenigsegg CCX over any supercar.
Posted By: Tisby Re: Thats a lot of CF! - 08/14/06 05:28 AM
So how much does that bike weigh?

I'm going to go drive one in 2 weeks. If I bend it, I'm going to cry hot salty tears.

Actually, I believe the Benetec CF kit makes a bigger difference from the stock GRP. The little front clam alone is more than 22 lbs lighter than stock (10.8 lbs vs 33.1 lbs), and the rear clam on the Elise is way bigger. Add in the CF doors, hard top, access panels, engine lid, sills, the ReVerie diffuser, and you're around 100 lbs.

I just got back from driving the Koenigsegg CCX. The thing is AMAZING.

Here's a picture of my wife driving it. Racing legend Justin Bell (FIA GT2 champion, Le Mans GT2 champion, Justin Bell GT Experience school named after him) is in the passenger seat:

Much to my eternal shame, she did the most clean launch of the entire event.

holy crap lucky!!!!

I hope to be as successful as you someday... i mean honestly... Noble M400 and an M5 as a "beater" wow. just wow.

heres a question... i see it has the wing on the back... now, when this car was tested on topgear... it didnt have a wing... and it crashed and they said that it would've been so much faster with a wing for downforce. then a few episodes later they brought it back with a wing... and the whole time the show gave the impression that the wing was their idea and that they influenced this change to the car... so which is it? does it normally come with a wing and top gear got one weird ont that didnt? or did topgear really influence them to add a wing to the CCX?

Actually, the car was always offered with a wing as an option, though most people do not get it.

The wing does do a little, but not much.

What you saw in the 2nd Top Gear episode was mainly due to 2 things:

1. Chassis & suspension retuning: they dialed out some of the oversteer.

2. The Stig didn't screw up the turn. Everyone makes mistakes, even him. He just happen to drive a cleaner lap the 2nd show.

The Koenigsegg is surprisingly easy to drive for a supercar of that caliber.

With every passing day, my hate for you grows.

And to be fair, I hate your wife too.

I was under the impression the wing was removed in order to get in the record books for top speed.

I dunno I was never crazy about the car.

so how's the interior?
Posted By: gotapex Re: Thats a lot of CF! - 09/01/06 10:15 PM
The interior is actually done very well. Fit and finish is great, eventhough this one was totally thrashed (press car + used in "Redline" movie).
