"Indiglo" Gauges anyone??? (poll)

I need to find out how many people would be interested in Indiglo Gauges for you Contour/Mystique/Mondeo. Brad Noon and I are trying to get something together for this. If you are interested just post here. The cost for them would be around $100 including the invertor. They would probably be multi-color as well (blue-green switchable).

I'm up for it... Although I think it would be hard to please everyone wanting "SVT" on their tach.. maybe you could have them made plain, but have a choice for a "V6" or "SVT" decal..... or nothing at all (I think the V6 on the tach looks cheesy)

m sure Brad wouldn't mind doing a few different runs for SVT, non-SVT, and Zetec/ATX. The main thing we are working on is the actual electrolum backing. Once we get this company to make the blank gauge faces, we (Brad) can put whatever we want on them. During the day, they will look just like regular white gauges.

I actually have given up on finding out anything due to the lack of response from the suppliers of the glow material. The easy part is that most of our gauges are the exact same shape and size, just with different numerics as far as what I remember from looking at the SVTs anyway. If that holds true, then the faces that I make can overlay the glow material and be just as creative as my other sets as far as graphics, fonts, etc. The only sets that would lose out would be the non tach sets as I haven't sold many of the regular gauge sets to justify that market. We would need a group buy separate from the other orders before venturing down that road.

When you say "Don't forget the Zetecs", what you really mean to say is don't forget the non tach clusters as some Zetecs have a tach which is the same set as the Duratecs and a tach...

HVAC panels to match would be no problem.

They will be able to be seen by colorblind people, they will have a switch to go from blue to green, and WE NEED MORE PEOPLE! These things will go on ANY CONTOUR/MYSTIQUE/MONDEO. Although we have not seen the actual guts of the Mondeo gauge cluster, it looks the same.

Projected sale price is in the $250 a set not including the HVAC panel. Still interested? Email bnoon@lh.net and I'll see what I can do. Seems quite expensive to me, but hey, who am I to judge... This would include ONLY the w/tach gauge sets, HVAC alone would be $75+. Gauge face customizing would be exactly the same as it is now from BNM, $10 per change. The two companies I've been working with have only one or the other colors, blue OR green NON switchable (same companies as Chris forwarded to me). The price skyrockets below 50 minimum orders, so I need at least that many to entertain this idea... Glowing "SVT's" and other customizing is very possible, just realize that everything would be all one color including things like redline, high temp, HVAC temp coloring, "E" on fuel gauge, etc.

Color me skeptical...

Well, with the blistering response on this board and the 1 Email I've recieved, we're one tenth of the way there...

To let you all know, I will be sending in a set of prints to be made into a prototype set of gauges. Costing BNM twice as much ($500+ for tooling and prototyping at both luminecent companies, IF I give them the green light) but I am researching this nonetheless. All I and Chris are asking for is interest in gauges, not for a down payment. The ONLY sets available for sure will be the SE/GL sets with tach and the SVT sets... They can look as stock or as custom as you wish to pay for, remember $10 per change.
