Whats wrong with my car?

My 'Tour sucks! Im starting to get annoyed by it! A month ago i had to change the spark plugs/wires ($65) and then 3 weeks later the timing belt and the timing pulleys ($150 plus $140 labor) and i also needed a new serpentine belt tensioner and the mechanic charged me $30 but, discount auto parts gave me the wrong pulley so there goes $30 down the drain and the mechanic had to put the old pulley back. So of course i have to order the pulley from Bill Jenkins now. And now, i have a check engine light and i hear something in the engine clicking when i am accelerating! And, when i start the car after it sits for a while, it hesitates and idles so low that its about to turn off until i push the gas. When i push the gas it goes back to its normal idling state. Plus, i did 68 miles in half a tank!!! Does anyone know what could be causing this??? This car is really pissing me off! i love it but im about to get rid of it. I went to Discount Auto Parts to get the code for the CEL pulled but they dont do it. So now i have to drive ALLLL the way to autozone for them to pull the CEL code.
P.S- The good part is that im getting rid of the ZETEC next year for an SVT!! (Hopefully i will find a good one with low miles)

I find it sad that you are complaining about things that are regular maitnence on a car... How many miles have you got?

66,958 and i already changed the timing belt/pulleys and the spark plugs and wires and oil change is due at 68,000. And there is also a ticking noise when i accelerate.

Something ain't rite if stuff goes bad after you replace it. Either the labor or the parts.

Ticking may be your timing belt hitting the cover or possibly maybe an arch from one of your spark plugs....

I'm thinking it still may be an arch....after all, all the wires go to the coil which is on the drivers side of the engine.

For one thats WAY to cheap for a timing belt change... if they didnt give you any warrenty for the timing belt job, they know that they did it wrong, and are taking you for a ride... go somewhere else if you didnt get a warrenty... I had to pay $700 or a Timing belt and Serpentine belt service... I got a 1 year/10K miles warrenty on it, and they did some quality work, almost looks as if they were never in there. As for your plugs, I say use ONLY motorcraft plugs... Autolites work, but they gave me problems. The Zetec is a fairly picky engine. The wrong pully problem wasnt the fault of your car... that was the fault of another person being dumb. And remember sh!t happens.

got the codes pulled from a friend its two codes!
1. Engine Coolant High Input 2. MAF Low Input
what do i do now??
Cris'pus i already changed the feul filter, plug wires, the timing belt is brand new! (Dad's mechanic changed) And now even worse i need new motor mounts!! Can you give me the names of the mounts and how many there are please?

The motor mount (really the only true motor mount) is on the passenger side, in front of the strut tower. It hides under the black U-shaped engine support and partially under the coolant tank. The transmission mount is under your airbox, mounted lower then the one on the passenger side. The front roll resistor is directly behind the radiator, next to the cat. The rear roll resistor is (IIRC, I only took my ATX piece out once) about the same height as the steering rack, just barely off center. The MTX piece hangs a lot lower and cant be missed.
If you have a multimeter you can test the resistance on the coolant temp sensor.
Disconnect the engine wiring harness from the ECT sensor. Connect an ohmmeter between the ECT terminals With the engine cold and the ignition switch in the OFF position, measure and note the ECT resistance. Connect the engine wiring harness to the sensor. Start the engine and allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature. Once the engine has reached normal operating temperature, turn the engine OFF> Once again, disconnect the engine wiring harness from the ECT sensor. Measure and note the ECT sensor resistance with the engine HOT. Compare the cold and hot ECT sensor resistance measurements with the accompanying chart. If readings do not approximate those in the chart, the sensor may be faulty.
Temp is F°, resistance is in K ohms 248 = 1.18 230 = 1.55 212 = 2.07 194 = 2.8 176 = 3.84 158 = 5.37 140 = 7.7 122 = 10.97 104 = 16.15 86 = 24.27 68 = 37.3 50 = 58.75
As for the MAF, it could very likely be dirty, especially if you have never cleaned it. I used to get a MAF code when I had my K&N. Apparently the oil (even when new) could coat the internals of the MAF giving it a faulty reading. I believe I used electronics parts cleaner last time I cleaned it, but its been a long time so I could be mistaken. Anyway, remove the MAF, and spray into the hole, the fluid will come out down below on the opposite side. Reinstall, clear your codes and you should be fine.

My mechanic told me that the passenger side motor mount (next to the timing belt) needed to be changed. He told me the part under the motor mount (that connects to the engine) is what needed to be changed. What is that part called? And i was told to get a new thermostat to fix the engine coolant high input code. And also to clean the MAF (which i did last weak) when i get my car back from the shop, ill put the thermostat at MAF cleaning on top of my to-do list (after taking pics of my car of course )
Do you think that will solve the problem?

I am curious as to why he thinks that mount needs to be replaced but not any of the others. If it were me (and it was last month) doing all four is a better idea. The weight of the engine/trans is on all of them (in a way) and replacing one is going to put more of a load on that one. Try to imagine having a fat person sit in the back corner, your putting more weight on just that one tire, wearing it quicker. Plus when that mount, yes the mount is the part under the black U, wears out, it will bottom out. Your engine is still suspended above the subframe. The resistance to the engine rotating when you drive is from the roll resistors.
If the thermostat was faulty, it would probably lock closed causing you to overheat. Your guage reading would also skyrocket (think red zone, not the L). Considering that there are readings all the way up to almost 250°, driving the car with a temp high enough to throw that code would mean certain damage. If your coolant is that hot coming out of the engine, you have probably already boiled it in the water jacket around the head. Id still check the sensor, it is also a hell of a lot easier to replace and a lot less coolant is lost if your quick enough.
With the car thinking its overheating and not getting enough airflow through the MAF, you would be running almost no fuel through the engine, causing lack of power, driveability problems, possibly overheating the cat/valves and causing plain old suckiness.

My temp guage has been retarded since the day i got it. sometimes when i start the car, it goes up to where it should be (i think) which is close to the cold part and sometimes it doesnt move at all.

I would still go after the temp sensor, namely the one on top of the thermostat housing.
