Tulsa GTG - The Matrix:Revolutions!!
#448511 - 11/06/03 08:30 AM

OK, Tulsa peeps, let's make a decision. BTW, anyone in SCCEG is welcome to come, but I doubt if anyone wants to come to Tulsa just to see a movie.

Here are the showtimes for Saturday. (If we'd rather do it Sunday, speak up now)
IMAX: ------ 12:30 - 7:30 - 10:30
Cinemark: -- 12:50 - 1:50 - 3:55 - 4:55 - 7:00 - 8:00 - 10:00 - 11:00

Both of these are at 71st and Hwy 169

It's also showing at Dickinson Starworld 20 on far south Memorial, but I figured Cinemark would be more central to everyone.

I think it would be cool as hell to see it in IMAX! What do you guys think?
I think we should get together for an early dinner and go to the 7:30 IMAX showing. But I'm very open to suggestions. Anyone else have better ideas?

I am with roger. I will tell shannon and rich that they need to get on here and post tonight. odds are that shannon wont but he will prolly come. I think we should eat at that new place on 71st and memorial called okie dokie cafe I have never eaten there but the sign looks cool.

I'm down. Hopefully I won't be working too late on Saturday. I would like to at least get a nap in before we go.

Sunday's OK, but I need to be done reasonably early, say, either the 1:50 or 3:55 shows and I wouldn't be able to make dinner.

That would probably work better for me anyway. I'm getting over a cold and not feeling 100% anyway. I'll need to see what my wife has planned for next weekend. She wasn't interested in seeing the movie, but she may have other plans for me.

Which day / time works best for you guys?

One reason I might not be able to make it would be because my car is probably about to be painted because of some things that happened at my job. It wasn't my fault. Thank God!

I was planning on comming to Tulsa anywat to see it, I was invited by my friend in the Camaro Club - COFBA - They are going on Saturday sometime, I will try to finb out what time they are going out there. Maybe we can go at the same time so it will be a really big meet.

I'll get back to you on the times.

IMAX: ------ 12:30 - 7:30 - 10:30
Cinemark: -- 12:50 - 1:50 - 3:55 - 4:55 - 7:00 - 8:00 - 10:00 - 11:00

OK, assuming these times will still apply this Saturday. (Can't check them this far in advance)

Here are a few suggestions:
* Get together for an early dinner and go see the 7:30 IMAX showing.
* Get together for an early dinner and go to the 8:00 Cinemark showing.
* Go to the 3:55 or 4:55 Cinemark showing and get dinner afterward.

Personally, I would like to see the IMAX version. That way, even if the movie sucks, it's still cool, cuz it's in IMAX!!

If you guys want to do it even earlier, that's fine, too. I just would rather not go to anything later than an 8:00 start. Us old farts need our beauty sleep!

I personaly I have desire to meet up with a bunch of camaro people I have never met nor talked to. if you want to hang with them then fine by me but I dont think your going to get us to change this around so we can hang out with them. we are going when its convient (sp?) for us.

I don't think he's suggesting we change our plans so it's convenient for them. I think he's just saying that's when they are probably going, in case we wanted to go together. WE still need to decide what's convenient for us. What do you guys think of the times I suggested? Anybody have any other suggestions?

I was saying nothing about changing plans I was just letting you know when they were going, personally I could care less, just thought you would like to know, don't get the panties in a twist, Personally I wouldn't mind earlier in the day so I can see it twice. but seeing as I don't wanna pay twice, I'm going with the majority vote, what ever it may be.

OK, looks like 7:30 Saturday (IMAX!! ), anybody have a problem with that?

Now we just have to decide on where to eat. Cody mentioned the Okie Dokie Cafe? Never heard of it and know nothing about it. Hooter's was mentioned... now, I like looking at hot women in shorts as much as the next guy, but I'm not that crazy about the food there. If that's where everybody else wants to go, I'll go, but it's not my first choice. Actually, I don't have a first choice. I'll pretty much eat anything. Any other suggestions, or thoughts on the mentioned places?

$10 according to the Cinemark Website

You can also order your tickets ahead of time for a .75 fee. I think I'll do that anyway just so I don't have to wait in line. (When we're sure that's the one we're seeing)

Sorry about last night guys. Both my wife and my daughter were really sick. Wife has a sinus infection. My little one has something similar but it has gotten into her chest and lungs. She's been coughing so hard she throws up. There was no way I could come with that going on.

Did anyone go? Are we rescheduling again? Once again, I'm really sorry.

No need to apologize! Sorry to hear your family is so sick. Hope they get better soon!

I bought my ticket ahead of time to avoid the long line, then went to Okie Dokie's and sat in the parking lot and waited for someone to show up. Cody called and said you weren't coming. I guess he decided not to come too, since he was just getting over being sick himself. Nobody else showed. I didn't really know the other guys that said they might go, so I wouldn't have recognized them, but no Contours showed up.

By that time it was after six so I just grabbed something quick at Taco Bueno and headed to the theater. I don't care what the naysayers have said, that movie ROCKED!!! Some say it was too philosophical (sp?) but that's what I liked about it. Not only did it have awesome action sequences but it made you have to think. Definately better than #2 but almost as good if not better than #1. I thought it was well worth the extra $$$ to see it in IMAX. But that's my opinion.

As far as rescheduling, you guys can try to get something together, but I'm done. I'd love to see it again, but I'm not going to get another "play" weekend again for awhile, so I doubt if I'll be able to make it.

DAMMIT, I saw you up there White, I'm gonna kick myself now....ok better. I rolled through the Okie's parking lot and didn't see any body, there was a white contour with the High end factory rims on it at the bueno but didn't think it would be anyone from the group since it was the only one. So we went on to the movie and sat on the 2nd row My god that is a big damn screen!! I agree with White when I say THAT MOVIE ROCKED!

sorry White, but I was there I figured everyone else decied to not go.

Yep, that was me. I was only sitting probably 3 rows behind you. I was almost wishing I had sat a little further back. I can only imagine what it was like on the 2nd row!
