One can easily post it in the Classifieds and put a link in one's signature. That way people in the SC forum will see it and click the link if they're interested... provided one is not a newbie wuss and is only posting on CEG to sell one's car. Dig?

Whatever you guys suck. If you guys were wanting to sell your ride you would want the people LOCAL to have a first crack at it. You really think that if you would put it in the classifieds that someone from Arizona will buy it. NO more realisticly the people that would be more interested in it would be the people that were LOCAL. And all of you guys that say go post it here and look up through the search in engine can just get hit by a truck. You wonder why people don't come on this site anymore. So YES he can post it in here so take of your skirt and just deal w/ it  .

I never said he did. My solution is a good solution to the problem and satisfies everyone. Once websites get big, you get a lot of people coming into local boards and trying to sell stuff. It's gets annoying, wastes the bandwidth and clogs the forum. It's best to nip it in the bud while the site is still growing again.
It's nothing personal... just a good policy that has to be enforced.
...As if I don't clutter the forum enough, right??

I didn't just come on here to sell my car, I was a member on the previous forum. I only post when I have something people might care about, which for some people on this board is getting a well maintained SVT. I apologize if our region forums don't allow for any mention of sales, but I just wanted the people in Kansas City to see it was for sale. I also wanted to, as you say, "Wake up" the forum here in South Central. It's not for sale anymore, I'm trading it the gentleman with the Saleen unless someone here offers a better price.

So instead of making one post trying to sell one's car, you have a link so that every time you post, you're making a sales pitch in every forum you visit, which seems to be a lot

This is common practice, and has actually worked on most occasions. That is how I sold my Aussie Bar.
I don't see the usefulness of this post going anywhere so..........
