yeah i know the knob would get hot, but i dont care. i already have an aluminum knob so im used to it already. anyways, i know that this is just as if i was the only one wanting this, but IF it was entirely up to me, i'd get the exact shape of the B&M knob but without the texture around the letters, just SVT in an outline type font. The only reason why this would work better for me having the taller knob instead of a round one is because the B&M kit is already short and a reach for 3rd & 5th so making just that much shorter with a round knob might matter.
My shift knob:

On those rare occasions when it's hotter than "censored", just throw a small towel over it. If it's that hot, you'll have the a/c on and it'll cool down in a few minutes anyway. I've only used a towel 2 or 3 times.

i did talk to my father and all we need to do is take measurments on my car (just got it today) and then make up some prototypes and do some voting to see which part we will make first. (door sills, shift nob/ebrake handle, etc...)

Do you have any idea of price for any of this stuff, or will you know more once the proto types are made? I just do not want to you spend a ton of time and find out you made a $300 shift knob that no one is willing to pay for.
How will you be making these, I can make some designs in Solid works or Auto cad if you need.

My dad owns an injection molding business and he will design them through mastercam or maybe solidworks (he has both and uses them lots)
then we will either sandblast the doorsills or or cut them our on his CNC machine
as for the shiftnob...we would use the CNC to shape it and ingrave the top.
and YES after we prototype we will give you the price
