well i dont have times or anything but i would say my svt on the 75 shot would be really slow. its a burnout machine. you need a LSD to launch these things hard anyways. i guess i just wasted your time

I'll be sure to go to my local 0-60 track and let you know. Seriously, this is the worst car to ask about 0-60 times, and for the most part, the only times you are going to get from this thread, will be from a G-tech.

what kind of 60s did demonSVT get? he was N/A on street slicks (probably a nice n/a build) doing mid 13's, gotta be launching nice there.

How about 0-60mph in 3.5 secs with a stock 2.5L ?
Presently I am adding SVT breathing and a Nitrous kit to make things a little more interesting, along with launch & traction control to put more power down. Hopefully this will slash another 0.5 sec off and bring it to below 3 seconds!

Only difference is my car is a mid engine GT and only weighs 700kg. Ok so I cheated

The best stock magazine test I saw back in the day was a 6.9s by road and track for the 1999 SVT.

As for those of us turning times in the 13's....

With my 3L turbo I was able to turn the 1/8th mile in 9.1seconds at 86mph, and the 1/4 mile in 13.8s at 108.6mph

86 mph in about 9 secs implies at least a sub 6 second 0-60 time.
But most of first and second gear was wheel spin in that car unless I let out on the throttle a bit.
However, I did do that on stock width street tires, 215s with 50% tread left on them.
Put that kind of a launch and that kind of power on drag radials or slicks and it would have been an entirely different ball game, probably in the high 4s, low 5s.

DemonSVT with drag radials should have been in the low 5 secs 0-60.

Yeah, too much power and not enough traction to go with it causes that. When zetecs, even blown ones do better in the eighth.
However, none of you can match my second 1/8 mile time, mwahahahah! Another 1/8th mile in barely 4 more seconds. 86-109mph?

Ya, lol. But if we did it 10 times in a row, would you still do it on the eleventh? I know how thirsty the nitrous bottle is.

lol...ya ya don't hate. You once had nitrous too! I'll be there oneday...i promise. A turbo 3L makes too much power with a stock block for me not to do it. It's one of those things i just can't afford not to do oneday. After i get out of school i'll be there. But being a full-time college student nitrous is much more affordable right now

My best averages

5.2 on street tires (225/50 Falken)
5.0-5.1 on drag radials (225/50 Nitto)

I can't see the chassis handling anything quicker then that. Maybe 4.9's with the perfect launch and 2k into the axles, hubs, intermediate shaft, etc... That would be a waste of money on a FWD car IMNSHO.
5.3-5.5 is a safe "estimated" range for a perfect launch on most cars making "quality" power. (LSD, tires, etc of course)

Yep!

Well It pretty much would drop a few hundredths by the third run and then level out.

I did run it seven times one night in Temple Texas. I remember it clearly because on about the 5th run this guy who was one of the staging lane groupies was saying to his friend "this guy is running again, is he crazy?"
I laughed because I was running about 7psi and I was turning 104.5-105.x mph all night, with the 105.x being the first two runs and then it just hovered there around 104.5mph.

Oh yea, that was in July or August of 2003 too....HOT. about 90-92F at 11pm at night.

So yeah. At the 8-9psi mark it would take to run 109s mph in the 1/4 it might have affected it a bit more, but hey....I woulda ended up with what, high 107s mph after the heat soak?? lol

I miss that car.

Its easy to say that now, when your 15, and you think every penny you make will go towards a car, and not gas, or insurance or anything.

Honestly, unless your actually building the car, everything you say is a pipe dream.

Ya, lol. But if we did it 10 times in a row, would you still do it on the eleventh? I know how thirsty the nitrous bottle is.

Would yours make 11 passes, with the same elapsed time, with all that heat soak?

Mark

Did Suneil's 2.5L turbo SVT (now JD's dad's car) not dyno 401 fwhp a while ago?
